Horton Creek has been fishing well for wild brown trout in the mornings and evenings. Dry flies include an assortment of terrestrial flies with black ants and cicadas working really well. The brown trout at Horton Creek are opportunistic and will readily eat a fly if it is well presented. Small streamers are also a good choice if the dry fly action is slow. Stripping or jigging a fly next to boulders, logs, and other fish holding habitat typically gets a positive response and a fish on the line. This is catch and release only for trout; no trout may be kept; artificial fly and lure only; single-pointed barbless hooks only.
