There are no issues with launching any size boat. Large amounts of aquatic vegetation in shallower areas necessitates consideration of weedless presentations in those areas. Recent fall electrofishing surveys by Arizona Game and Fish have found some quality fish starting to appear in greater numbers in Peña Blanca Lake, with multiple fish between 5 and 8 pounds. Drop-shot setups and other configurations of soft plastics appear to be most effective at this lake practically year-round, though those looking for a change of pace may find success throwing weedless frog presentations this time of year, given that bass are more active near the surface during the late summer and the
quantity of aquatic vegetation currently present in the lake.
