The early September Rainbow Trout stocking was postponed to early October due to high pH but anglers were still having success in mid-September with prepared bait and fly-fishing. Focus efforts from the surface to roughly 10-feet deep as there is little oxygen below that. Bringing a variety of lures/baits will allow you to hone in on what's working at specific times of day. Typically, anglers have seen more success with PowerBait and corn in deeper water during the day and lures in early mornings and late afternoons. Fly fishermen should focus on using dry fly setups in the early mornings or late afternoons to target rising fish.
