Here’s the latest Colorado River fishing report from below Davis Dam!
Our local angler, Matt Crowder, landed some beautiful striped bass while fishing from his boat. He was using a swimbait, and it proved to be a very effective technique. These stripers are a great eating size—easy to fillet and perfect for a delicious meal.
We've also been hearing that anglers fishing from shore are having good success using anchovies. If you're looking for shore fishing opportunities, there are several productive spots to try. Community Park, especially the downriver section, has been producing fish. The Nature Center also has some excellent locations, and Rotary Park has yielded quite a few stripers as well. Those are just a few of the many great places to fish from the bank.
Up on Lake Mohave, trolling continues to be the most productive method. White bucktail jigs have also been working exceptionally well, and a variety of swimbaits are another great option for catching quality stripers.
We hope this fishing report helps, and we look forward to seeing you stop by to share your catch and your fishing story. Thank you for your continued support!
