Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, AZ

Here are a couple of our younger anglers with a super nice largemouth bass! This fish was landed while fishing from shore.

Nick Navarrette and Mason Lucchino caught this beautiful bass using a spinnerbait. The fish weighed an impressive 6.20 pounds and measured 24½ inches long. It was a little disappointing that they didn't know to release it, but I took the opportunity to explain that while a largemouth bass this size can make a good meal, most anglers choose to practice catch-and-release so these trophy fish can be caught again in the future.

We're still catching striped bass along the shoreline below Davis Dam. Anchovies continue to be the top bait for the smaller stripers.

Up on Lake Mohave, trolling with a variety of jigs and swimbaits has been producing great fishing. I've been hearing good reports from anglers trolling around Telephone Cove on both the Arizona and Nevada sides, as well as the area near the dam.

Farther up the lake near the power lines, the coves on the Arizona side are producing striped bass and some nice catfish, with anchovies being the bait of choice.

I hope this fishing report helps! We look forward to seeing you and hearing about your next great catch. Thanks for all your support.

Now go catch a fish!
