Wednesday Update
- The Apollo checked in from their 3 day with 70 Yellowfin Tuna and 4 Wahoo. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 50-105lbs. A 20lb fly line outfit has been effective.
Tuesday Returns
- The Pacifica returned from their 2 day trip with 9 Yellowfin Tuna, 25 Yellowtail, 8 Bluefin and 19 Dorado.
- The Cortez finished out their 1.5 day charter with 50 Yellowfin Tuna and 7 Skipjack.
- The Tribute ended their 1.5 day trip with 23 Yellowfin and 3 Skipjack.
San Diego Full Day
- The San Diego finished up their full day trip with 44 Yellowfin Tuna, 2 Dorado and 63 Skipjack. Passports are Not currently required for this trip. Recommended setups for the San Diego has been a 20lb-25lb setup along with a 30lb-40lb setup for anchovies and sardines. Small jigs and poppers have been seeing good response for the anglers looking to throw artificials.
New Seaforth Half Day
- The New Seaforth has been finding fun Calico bass action along with opportunities for quality Yellowtail and other inshore species. A 15–25 lb live-bait setup with #4 to 2/0 hooks is recommended with a sliding egg sinker or a 4oz torpedo a dropper loop. Jigs and plastics have been getting good response but with the mixed live bait a chovie or sardine on the fly line or dropper loop has been doing well for the Calico bass. Rod rentals and fishing licenses are available at the landing during check-in.
Sea Watch Full Day Report
- The Sea Watch is a definite run for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday trips and they all have light loads currently! The prepared angler should have a 20lb-30lb outfit with hooks between #4-2/0 with the mixed bait currently. Metal jigs are still working with the smaller sizes matching the bait well. Passports are Not currently required for this trip.
