Saturday Recap

Saturday Updates

  • The Tribute reported in from their 1.5 day with 35 Yellowfin Tuna from 10-25lbs. A 20lb fly line outfit has been effective.

San Diego Full Day

  • The San Diego finished up their full day trip with 91 Yellowfin, 9 Dorado, and 9 Skipjack. Passports are Not currently required for this trip. Current sniper style jigs have been getting bit well but also good to have a 20-25lb live bait setup.

Sea Watch Full Day

  • The Sea Watch returned from their full day offshore with 47 Yellowfin Tuna, 24 Yellowtail, and 3 Dorado. The prepared angler should have a 20lb-25lb outfit with hooks between #4-2/0 with the mixed bait currently. Passports are Not currently required for this trip.

New Seaforth Half Day

  • The New Seaforth has been finding fun bass action along with opportunities for quality Yellowtail. A 20–30 lb live-bait setup with #4 to 2/0 hooks is recommended, as a variety of bait is currently in use. Yo-yo irons and plastics have been getting good bites but with the mixed live bait a chovie or sardine on the fly line or dropper loop has been doing well. Rod rentals and fishing licenses are available at the landing during check-in.
