Lake Success rose to 38 percent of its storage capacity, and anglers reported improved fishing overall, though the bass bite remained somewhat sluggish. The fish that came aboard were better quality, and jigs, hula grubs, and deep diving crankbaits were the best way to fool them. Finesse baits also took bass on main lake points, with green pumpkin and hologram shad producing bites. Crappie anglers continued to find panfish near submerged vegetation. Catfish responded to SSS dip bait, anchovies, and chicken liver.
