Access to the lake and campgrounds is open. This is a good time of year to target bluegill, crappie, bass and catfish. The water is very turbid (dirty) so fishing with bait or very slowly with flies and lures will produce the best results. The lake level is low, but launching a small boat is still achievable. The limit for bass is two (minimum size 13 inches); for channel catfish the limit is four. Surface water temperature was 70.8 F, pH 8.09, dissolved oxygen (D.O.) 6.2 on 8/16/2022. The water temperatures are not suitable for stocking fish, stocking will resume once conditions improve.
