Kaibab Lake, located in the Kaibab National Forest near Williams, AZ, is a popular 45-acre recreational fishery at an elevation of 6,900 feet. Managed by the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout from spring through fall and supports resident populations of channel catfish, largemouth bass, and bluegill.

Trout fishing peaks in spring and early summer with PowerBait, worms, and small lures producing well. Fly anglers find success with woolly buggers and midges during hatches. In warmer months, catfish and bass become more active. Channel cats are taken on stink bait and cut bait, while bass respond to plastics, jigs, and topwater presentations.

Kaibab Lake is equipped with a boat ramp and allows non-motorized and electric-powered boats. Kayaks and float tubes are especially popular. The lake has abundant shoreline access and adjacent campgrounds with picnic tables, restrooms, and paved pathways.

Its proximity to Williams and major travel corridors makes Kaibab Lake an easily accessible and family-friendly destination. Though it doesn’t offer trophy-class fish, it provides reliable action in a beautiful setting.
