22-Pound Striper
Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, AZ

Well, it's been a little slow lately when it comes to anglers bringing in photos of their catches, so I decided to use an older picture of the twins with their impressive 22-pound striper. Mike and Mitch Jones were fishing the river when they landed this trophy-sized fish.
This time of year, the striper bite can slow down a bit, and anglers have to work a little harder to find those spots where the fish are holding. I am still getting reports of stripers being caught along the shores of the Colorado River below Davis Dam. Most of the fish being landed are in the 2- to 4-pound range, which is still a great catch for this time of year.
Up on Lake Mohave, the striper bite is about the same, with plenty of 1- to 2-pound fish mixed in. Anglers using anchovies are doing well once they locate the right spot and drop a line. In some of the coves near the power lines, you can also find catfish hanging out underneath the schools of stripers.
So, if you've been out fishing and landed a nice catch, bring it in! I'd love to get your story, hear what's working, and share your success with everyone.
Thanks for all your support. See you soon—and until then...
