This week, the community park has become a hotspot for striper fishing. Our local anglers have had great success along the shores of the Colorado River in the community park vicinity. Bryon Kilgore managed to reel in an impressive 5.72-pound striper, measuring 26 and 3/8 inches. He employed fly fishing techniques from the shore, using an orange and yellow patterned fly lure. Another angler, Mike Mcpherson, utilized anchovies as bait and successfully landed a sizable 13.80-pound striper, measuring 32 inches. Despite the presence of jetskis on the water during the afternoon, the fish remained undisturbed.

Reports from the lake indicate an increasing striper bite, with the area near the power lines being recommended as a productive fishing spot. We're hopeful for more catches from that region. While news from the marsh area is limited, it's likely that largemouth bass are thriving, particularly when using spinner baits in white or green colors.

We appreciate your ongoing support and eagerly anticipate your upcoming visits to share your catches and stories. Thank you for being a valued part of our community.
