The river is producing stripers up to 8 pounds for boaters using anchovies. Fish weighing in under 2 pounds are taking baits from shoreline anglers. Most action has been reported downriver, south of Big Bend State Recreation Area. Anglers are reporting smallmouth bass catches in the same area on soft plastics. Catfish are hitting chicken livers and anchovies fished near vegetation.
