Colorado River - Laughlin Fish Report for 6-10-2021
The Striper Action Remains Strong
Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV
The striper action remains strong. Our local angler Joe Bauer landed a super catch, a 24.02 pound striper at 42 inches. He was fishing from shore in the community park area and was throwing his favorite lure to land this beast. I have been hearing that the casino area has been producing a few stripers mostly in the 1 to 5 pound range.
We have some good news our local Mohave high school fishing club is back. This fishing group or the club is open to anyone that wants to fish or learn our water ways and what works well here in our area. Mostly along the shores of the Colorado river below the Davis dam are where the outing take them. This trip it was Davis camp where our club members were fishing with the help of Gary Regan and David Nader. Our young anglers landed a few stripers fishing from shore using anchovies we have Noah Manzo-Nader who had the largest striper at 1.66 pounds and 18 and 5/8 inches, next is Gabriela Manzo-Nader with Jason Barela Jr. and on the end is Zander Gonzalez, what a great outing.
I have been getting reports of Rotary park doing ok and the nature center producing a few stripers. Mostly in the 1 to 6 pound range but this fish of Joes shows you better have a good knot and have that drag set as there are some big fish out there. Not much to report from up on Lake Mohave as of yet and not sure why the marsh hasn't taken off yet I am assuming it might be the carp as they have the water all stirred up with the spawn activity they are exhibiting. Hope this helps for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and the story. Mostly thanks for all of your support Now go catch A Fish Rusty Riviera Marina 520 Riviera Blvd. Bullhead City Az. 928-763-8550
