Gary Senft, a Bass Pro at the Mesa Bass Pro Shops, said a good bet at Apache is a Carolina rig with 3-inch crawdad plastics in chigger craw.

Smallmouth bass on the flats (flat bottoms, 3-15 feet of depth) can be targeted with assorted crawdad–imitation baits all day long.

Finesse worms can work on the tougher days.

Catfishing should still be good. Carp fishing can be great.

Lake elevation is 1,909 feet (95-percent full). Fishing is fair. Bass are being caught in areas with inflows.
