As of Thursday, December 10, the lake is 100% ice covered with a few inches of unsafe ice. It was snowing on Thursday, so there will be a layer of insulating snow covering the ice slowing down the growth of the ice. It probably won’t be safe for a couple of weeks yet. As a general rule of thumb, the ice doesn’t get safe at Wild Horse until around Christmas or New Years.
