Anderson Reservoir - Morgan Hill, CA

Fish Spot Details
Surface Area: | 1250 acres |
Fish Species: | Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Bluegill, White Crappie |
Anderson Reservoir, Morgan Hill, CA, historically a premier largemouth bass fishery, is currently impacted by significant seismic retrofitting, resulting in severely restricted access and very low water levels. While historical reports indicate decent bass fishing with drop-shot and jigs, current opportunities are highly variable and often non-existent. When fishable, it supports bass, panfish, and catfish. Anglers must obtain real-time operational status and access information from Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) and Santa Clara County Parks before planning any visit. This reservoir's fishing viability is presently contingent on its ongoing infrastructure project.
