High temperatures beginning Saturday are expected to rise back into the 70s. We're stocking rainbow trout into Canyon Lake, land of the lunkers. Avoid Canyon Lake if you want great catch rates, but for something to hang on the wall, come here and throw some big swim baits (that represent the stocked trout). Plus, the scenery is exceptional.

Hello anglers, If all you want is a shot at trophy bass, consider Apache Lake in central Arizona. The lake was stocked with trout the week of Dec. 30 and will be stocked once again beginning Monday, Feb. 3. Think lazy. Hello anglers, The hot spot for winter trout right now is Lees Ferry. Trout spawn from November through mid-March at this tail-water fishery below Lake Powell, but there are plenty of feeding fish as well. If you haven't fished the Ferry before, consider getting a guide.
