Our local angler Theresa Richardson stopped in to share her catch of a nice striper from Rotary Park. This was a nice 10.6-pound striper measuring 32 1/2 inches. She was using anchovies while fishing from shore toward the downriver part of Rotary Park.

We are getting a lot of smaller stripers, and they are running at all the best fishing spots you know.

This time of year, it's rainbow trout season, as the Willow Beach Hatchery has started stocking again. A reminder that the trout limit in our area below Davis Dam is five. The striper limit below the dam is 10.

We should be getting some nice fish at our stocking sites, and I am assuming Rotary Park is high on the list, at least until the end of December. Then it's Community Park and Davis Camp.

A fishing license is best purchased online through the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The age limit is 10 to 18 for a $5 license. After 18 and above, it's $37, and it's yearly from when you get it.
