Paul Clouse, Abel Wong, and Al Hurwitz trolled San Pablo Reservoir on June 4, 2026, trying to catch some Rainbow Trout and Spotted Bass. We trolled all sections of the lake with Streamer Flies, Speedy Shiners, Panther Martin Spinners, and Mooselook Wobblers, all to no avail. NO BITES! The lures had scent applied and were trolled 15-25 feet below the surface in 40-60 foot water columns. The water clarity was fair with a surface temperature in the low 70’s.

Not sure why we could not raise a single bite. The Trout are scattered and deeper now. The Spotted Bass usually start hitting st this time of year, but made no offers to hit our presentations.

We’ll try again after an interval.
