The aqueduct bite had arrived, and anglers reported catching good numbers of smaller striped bass. Cut baits and live worms were effective below check gates, and anglers adjusted their weight based on the amount of flow. Striped bass also responded to Flukes on a jig head, paddle-tail swimbaits, and jerkbaits, with the best lure action occurring at first light. Catfish anglers caught solid numbers of fish using cut anchovies, dip bait, and fresh shrimp. Largemouth bass were caught on Texas rigs, Carolina rigs, and drop-shot Roboworms in slower-moving water, while weightless Senkos also produced bites.
