Open to fishing all year. Fishing close to shore with PowerBait has been a proven technique for winter trout fishing. Anglers are also reporting increased catches of Northern Pikeminnow, and several have reached out to district staff for help with fish identification.

Heart Lake: Fishing has been good for rainbow trout in the 8-16" range this past weekend
Holbrook Reservoir: Fishing was fair this past week for rainbow trout in the 14-23" range
Lofton Reservoir: There have not been any recent fishing reports, but fishing should still be fair
Thompson Valley Reservoir: Water levels are fair for this time of year and access is still available
Chetco River: Rain this week will improve fishing conditions and get Chinook on the move
Elk River: The river has been clear but rains this week may improve conditions
