Now’s a Great Time to Catch a Striper or Two!
Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV

The Colorado River below Davis Dam is producing some excellent catches this time of year. Anglers are reporting success from various spots, with anchovies working best, while different lures are bringing in some of the larger fish.
One of our local anglers, Karie Camargo, stopped in to share her recent catch — a beautiful 3.66-pound, 22-inch striper! She was fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area, which is known for being one of the best fishing spots along the Colorado River.
In addition to stripers, Rainbow Trout are being stocked regularly, giving both local and visiting anglers great opportunities to reel in some action. The Pest Abatement Department is also conducting trout stocking as part of efforts to manage the caddis fly issue. From October through March, the Willow Beach Hatchery stocks the river with trout, which also helps keep the caddis fly population under control.
We hope this information is helpful — and we look forward to seeing you soon to share your catch and your story.
