USGS Falling… wait no rising today.

The summer of neverending runoff on the Animas.  It’s clearing, but still pushy.  Float fishing will be a decent option.

Caddis and Yellow Sallies are hatching, but most fish will still be eating subsurface out of the main currents (closer to the banks).  Nymphs and streamers are your friend.  A large Dry/dropper if fish are looking up.

Prince nymphs and variants 10-14, Orange Crush 12-16, Pat’s Rubberlegs and stonefly nymphs 8-12, Cranefly Larva 6-10, San Juan Worm 10-14.

Caddis: Barr’s Graphic Caddis 12-14, TBH Jig Caddis 14, Prarie Dog Pupa 14-16, Elk Hair Caddis 12-16, Peacock Caddis 12-16, EZ Caddis 12-16.

Outrigger Yellow Sallie 14-16, Yello Stimulators 12-14, Chubbies 10-16.
