Much of the lake still has ice with 6 to 8 inches of ice. Anglers have found success using orange PowerBait and night crawlers. Always check for clear ice before walking out onto it. The area just got another winter storm, so check the conditions before heading out. For up-to-date ice conditions contact Spring Valley State Park at 775-962-5102.
