Riviera Marina Fishing Report
Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV
We are very blessed in these strange times. We are still getting some great stocking of rainbow trout thanks to the Willow Beach Hatchery. The days have changed of the trout plants to Thursday and Community Park has been the preferred site do to the water levels. I went last week and was able to visit with one of the anglers there and he showed me his catch of stripers while he was using a long a bomber. The beach area was wide open at this time for both trout and striper fishing. Our local angler Lino Garcia was also fishing in the area a bit up river closer to the casinos along the shore line on the Arizona side. His striper weighed in at 5.32 pounds and was 24.5 inches. Lino was using anchovies here along the Colorado river below the Davis dam. I apologize on my field reporting skills I didn't get our local anglers name with the stripers at Community Park. He had purchased his lure a few days ago from me. We talked a bit along the beach area and mentioned I would try and use his picture I hope to share a story of his catches later in the coming months. We were just enjoying the outing. Now with our stocking on Thursday we should have some great Friday Saturday trout fishing.
No word from up on Lake Mohave the area is open for day use only and no boat activity is going on at this time. I haven’t heard any news from the marsh area I will try and find out about that area also we do have shore fishing available at both locations.
Hope this helps for now and we will try and keep all informed as best we can in these strange times. Be safe stay in if you fill under the weather in any way. practice safe and protective health habits. thanks for all of your support hope to see you in with that catch to share.
