Very exciting news... our friends at Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced today that Nevada’s newest state park, the Walker River State Recreation Area, will officially open to the public at the Pitchfork Ranch on Saturday, September 22!  Mark that date on your calendar, because you and your family are invited to join Nevada State Parks staff for a special grand opening celebration at the Pitchfork Ranch for a fun-filled day of activities including: Dutch-oven cooking, archery, fishing clinics, nature walks, hay rides, children’s games and a BBQ. NDOW is excited to have staff there helping out!  Take a look through these beautiful pictures for more information about the park.

COST: The park entrance fee is waived for this event.
