With our weather starting to warm the striper bite should be starting, but for now its trout rainbow trout that is. We have our local angler Jackson Maki showing a nice rainbow he landed while fishing the shore at Rotary park. He was using night crawlers to bring this trout to the table. I am getting reports of limits at or stocking sites, and various baits are working well, night crawlers, power bait orange, green and yellow have been most productive. Spinners of course Panther Martin my favorite and Jakes Spin A Lure are just a couple to name rooster tails in black white or yellow also great lures to have in your arsenal. I have been collecting samples of our trout eating habits. This has been a huge success. this is proving that our trout are doing all we have hoped for eating the larva of the caddis fly along with the black fly and the midge. A bonus is the trout are also eating the clams and or mussels. I will try and keep up on the progress of the actual count of the bugs the trout are putting away.  Now when you are having some luck catching our striper please come in to share no matter the size of the fish for the stomach content is what I would like to get a sample of. besides that we are so looking forward  for our line sides to be here. so keep us posted on what's working and thanks for all of your support.
