Cold Springs and Haymeadow are giving up stocked trout and a few rainbows in the 12 to 16-inch range using spinners and powerbait. Bass fishing has been productive using spinners and plastics along the dam and the edges of submerged weed beds. The majority of bass being caught range from nine to 12-inches at both Cold Springs and Haymeadow. Dacey fishing has slowed in the last week for both bass and rainbows. Trout fishing on Adams-Mcgill has been steady. Anglers are using both baits and plastics with good success for Adams trout. Bass fishing on Adams has picked with fish in the nine to 12- inch range hitting on plastics and buzz baits. Water temperatures are in the low seventies across the area. Aquatic vegetation is starting to surface across the area. Anglers are starting to use top waters and Texas style rigs to keep baits weed free. Access Kirch WMA by using the northern country road near the headquarters for a smoother ride into the area. Upper ends of the reservoirs will be open to trespass on Friday.
