Great fishing can be found at Onion. Heat hasn’t slowed down the fishing much yet making limits common. Trout are averaging 12-14” with a few holdovers pushing 16”. Catch and release fisherman are reporting dozens and dozens of fish caught during a full day of fishing. Salmon eggs or worms under a bobber has been very effective. Spin fisherman have been using small Panther Martins or rooster tails in darker shades and contrasting colors. Fly fisherman trolling buggers and small nymphs behind boats and sinking lines are catching fish all day. Those fishing a couple nymphs are commonly hooking up two fish at one time. Some fish can be found working the surface when the wind is down.
